Twin brothers Jason and Josh Diamond, owners and founders of MBS Productions – Edit, Produce, Direct and Design for a myriad of mediums including film, television, music videos, and new media.
The genesis of MBS (founded on mutual love for Star Wars early in their lives and later their shared passion of un-timed lunch hours) can be tracked back two decades, far, far away, when they got their first computer: an Apple IIc. *
Whether it was the force or the lower drinking age that moved them to relocate to NYC at age 17 is unclear, but they were fortunate to land a job for an FX and Modeling house in Brooklyn making dioramas for toy store installations and latex masks for films. Later, they were offered the chance to learn on the newly released non-linear editing system, AVID, at a small production company wrapping its first feature film.
The geek pair were hooked and a company was born.
For nearly a decade MBS has been steadily growing and adding new functions and dimensions to their expanding company – branching out into the world of Visual Effects and Broadcast Design.
*They also got a package of tube socks that year, but it had little impact on their futures.
